YOUR 12-DAY JOURNEY

On this epic 12-day trip you will see, feel, and experience the best that Botswana, Namibia and Defender have to offer. Covering hundreds of miles and a shocking variety of landscapes and surroundings, this once in a lifetime adventure isn’t to be missed.

DAY ONE TO THREE

The expedition into the Okavango Delta begins in the busting town of Maun. Our first days are spent exploring the Moremi Game Reserve, one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa with a wide spectrum of wildlife. After a night spent in a luxury lodge, the journey continues through the Khwai Area. Depending on the water level in the delta, we may not only drive on sand tracks but also through fords as we make our way back to Maun.

DAY FOUR TO SIX

We travel up the Okavango Panhandle, a breathtakingly beautiful stretch of the delta where the river runs straight for about 70 kilometres. Feeding water into the delta, this deep channel is teeming with fish and birds. There are opportunities for fishing, boating and even an optional scenic flight to admire the Okavango Delta form the air. As we reach the border to Namibia, we test Defender on sand tracks before reaching Divundu and the spectacular Popa Falls where hippos and crocodiles have made their home.

DAY SEVEN TO NINE

Day seven offers the opportunity to relax at the Divava Okavango Resort & Spa, a tropical paradise on the banks of the river. Enjoy a variety of treatments, eat at the restaurant, or go out exploring. On day eight we will explore the Khaudum National Park, known as Namibia’s ‘forgotten wilderness’ before we travel down to Grootfontein on day nine, where we’ll see the largest meteorite in the world.

DAY TEN TO TWELVE

Day ten is for discovering the fascinating Waterberg Plateau, where you can find 200-million-year-old dinosaur footprints and petrified sand dunes. We reach Windhoek on day eleven, the capital of Namibia. Explore this cosmopolitan city and stay in the prestigious Weinberg Windhoek hotel before ending the journey on day twelve.
